Same old aches and pains

Quarter of the way through 2017.

What have I learned so far?

I’m probably too afraid of the scale, but that was always a given.

Bulking is fun, dieting isn’t. I’m being too analytical. Pictures speak volumes.

After a vacation, I figured I was done with ‘bulking’ for a while. Put on 20 pounds, and progress pictures show almost no difference. What does that mean?

For starters, it means unless I’m willing to do curls every day and start bodybuilding, I should probably stop obsessing over my vanity muscles and how close to 1g/lb bw of protein I get every day. So I’m cutting a bit of weight, at least until I get married in a month. I got stronger, so theres that. I am even able to run again! My IT band gives me grief, but via intervals, I’m slowly getting back to strength. I hope to take the park bench approach versus the bus stop bench to fitness this year.

The park bench: relaxing and taking it as it comes. The bus stop bench: WHY ISNT THE BUS HERE YET ITS OFF SCHEDULE EVERYTHING IS RUINED.

So yeah. Everythings ok in the end. I’m not dying yet, I’m not morbidly obese anymore, and I can still run around. Happy 2017.
